The Grand Theatre (Storan)

Voices in the auditorium and the White Lady — when the stage is empty, actors hear the inexplicable.

Like many classic theatres, a “White Lady” is said to appear here occasionally. Over the years actors have testified to voices and unexplained sounds from the wings when the auditorium stands empty.

Facts: Inaugurated in 1859 as one of the country's earliest examples of a continental theatre building. The round auditorium is preserved in its original condition, with an enormous chandelier that originally held 60 gas flames. It was the first major stone building erected outside the moat.
