Three ghosts: a servant girl walled in with her child, a German woman who shot herself in 1902, and an old man who hanged himself.
Lønborggaard between Skjern and Tarm carries three entirely separate tragedies. A young servant girl fell in love with the farm owner's son and became pregnant—as punishment she was walled in in a pump house together with her child. Several infant skeletons have been unearthed over the years on the farm's land, including beneath the very pump house where she died. Her ghost is seen carrying an infant coffin through the park and the farmhouses.
The German woman was Jørgen Tranberg's fiancée who arrived at the farm in September 1902 with marriage expectations. She was rejected, walked into the park, and shot herself. The old man had worked on the farm for fifty years and received a staff with the family crest in silver as thanks—but chose to hang himself rather than be sent to the almshouse. His ghost still moves between the stalls.
