Facts: The building was completed in 1762 as the headquarters of the Swedish East India Company, the most successful Swedish enterprise of all time. Enormous cargoes of tea, porcelain and silk were stored here. After the company was dissolved in 1813, parts of the building were used as a grain warehouse and telegraph station.
